Brief introduction

     Jiangyin XingCheng Special Steel Works Co., Ltd is a president enterprise of China Special Steel Association, a joint venture established in 1993, the main share of which is held by Hong Kong CITIC Pacific Ltd.,. It is the important high-technology enterprise of National Torch Plan and “Top Ten Energy-saving & Emission-reducing Demonstration Enterprise” of Jiangsu Province, and the first enterprise of Jiangsu Province who obtained the “Good Standardizing Practice Certificate AAAA Grade”. It was listed in the order of 281 among the “China Enterprise Top 500” and in the order of 149 among the “China Manufacturing Industry”.
    The company has three factory districts, one of them locates in the Economic District of Jiangyin City, which occupies the area of 3000 mu. It is on the south of Yangtze River with two self-constructed special wharfs with a berthing capacity of 50 thousand tons. It faces to Xi-Cheng and Hu-Ning Expressway, forming a unique communications and logistics advantage. With main equipment of steel-making, rolling and inspection all imported from abroad and world advanced production process, the company now has become the main domestic production base producing high quality special steel such as, bearing steel, gear steel, spring steel, alloy tube billet steel, and non-quenched and tempered steel. The main products all got the international quality certificate, and the production and sales volume of many kinds of high-quality products has been in the domestic leading position for many years. Among which, the ∮600mm CC round tube billet is the biggest one with the best quality in the world. 8 products are the national new products, another 12 products won the national quality reputation, and 31 products obtained the title of Jiangsu Important High & New-tech Product. 32 products owned national patents. The company also undertook the study and research for two national metallurgic topic projects.
     In 2007, there were totally 3917 employees, among which 1100 were engineers and specialists. It possessed the capital asserts of 8.217 billion and a total capital of 11.587 billion yuan. It had the annual output capacity of 2 .77million tons of special steel, 2.22million tons of special steel products, among which 490,000 tons were exported abroad. The gross sales reached 17.8 billion yuan.
